What Sets Us Apart in Orange County
Orange County has no shortage of contractors. Here's what homeowners consistently tell us they couldn't find elsewhere.
You're Hiring Stephen
Optima isn't a call center routing you to whichever crew is available. Stephen Brown is directly involved in every project, from the first estimate to the final walkthrough — the person who quotes your job is the person accountable for it.
Line-Item Transparency
Estimates break out materials, labor, and permit costs separately — not a single bundled number that hides where change orders come from later.
30+ Years, One Company
Founded in 1992 and still locally operated today — the same accountability and craftsmanship standard on every project, not a rotating cast of subcontractors.
The Right Company For The Job
Over three decades of trusted, high-quality construction for homeowners and businesses throughout Orange County — built on transparency, integrity, and showing up when we say we will.
Meet the TeamOn-Time, Every Time
We commit to hitting every milestone and delivering on schedule, with clear communication if anything changes.
Built to a Higher Standard
We strive for flawless results on every project, backed by licensed crews and decades of trade expertise.
30+ Years of Trust

What We've Been Working On
What Homeowners Say
Trusted by homeowners across Orange County, backed by dozens of verified reviews.
"We just completed our first kitchen remodel and Optima Construction was great from start to finish. With two toddlers, I was nervous to not have a kitchen for too long and they made the process much easier than I anticipated. Stephen and Brandon were always available to answer questions and their crews were great as well. Quality work, great communication and the project was completed on time — couldn't ask for anything more! I would absolutely recommend them."
"A slab leak did considerable damage to our bottom floor, so we decided to remodel while we were at it — opened up the kitchen to the living room, new floors, recessed lighting, a full re-pipe and re-wire, and a subpanel upgrade. The work was excellent and Stephen was quick to respond and make things right whenever an issue came up. We were happy enough with the bottom floor that we had Optima remodel the upstairs too, including custom built-ins in every room. Optima does very high-quality work at a fair price, and I'm always quick to recommend them."
"My husband and I have used Optima Construction on three separate residential jobs: a room addition that became an office, an extensive patio project with two covered patios, and a re-do of our master bathroom after a shower failure. In each case, when we had questions, Stephen was quick to respond and stands behind his projects."
"Water damage from leaky shower tiles led to our latest project with Optima. We are a repeat customer 4-5 times over and frequently refer them to others since we love their work and trust Stephen and his crews to provide quality workmanship. His adoption of technology, including 3D and online project management, is a big plus for keeping us informed."
"Optima helped us get our house ready to sell — replacing kitchen cabinet doors, fixing a drywall hole in the garage ceiling, re-stuccoing the fence, and repairing a crack in the chimney. They even flagged old fixtures we'd stopped noticing that were worth removing before listing. Everyone who came out was professional and respectful, and Stephen and Brandon checked in with us after every phase was completed."
"Optima remodeled both of our bathrooms and refinished our hardwood floors throughout. Stephen kept us updated at every step, and all of the work was completed within budget and to a high standard of quality."
"We woke up one morning to a nightmare — a water leak in our master bathroom. We immediately called Stephen, who was at our house within an hour and took charge. It was complicated: we had to check for asbestos, contamination, and black mold. Stephen knew who to contact at each remediation company, so instead of weeks, we had test results within 10 days."
"In addition to producing quality work, Stephen is reliable and responsive. I have appreciated how quickly they have completed the work. I would definitely use their services again."
"It is our pleasure to recommend Stephen Brown and Optima Construction. Stephen and his crew completed a waterproofing project for one of our properties, and even though our offices are offsite in San Francisco, he kept us completely comfortable with frequent, friendly communication and a first-class job site. The existing tenant — who works in construction themselves — had only positive things to say about Stephen's crew and how well they minimized disruption. Stephen is communicative, proactive, timely, capable, and accommodating, and we look forward to working with him again."
